Completely groping in the dark here: "They who dwell in the dark", "they who wait", or "they who love you" seem to be a group, cult or race that form the main antagonists of a number of Barron's stories. Most stories in the [[The Imago Sequence and Other Stories]] seem to feature these entities. I'm not sure whether or not _They_ are the same as, or have ties to the [[Children of Old Leech]] and the entity known as [[Old Leech]] who are featured in most Barron stories as well. They might be related, but Barron himself has stated that _They_ are something else, or part of something else (and perhaps something bigger).
