The story Six Six Six is collected in [[Occultation and Other Stories]] and features a couple moving into an old family home that the husband recently inherited. The home comes with heaps of bad memories and some occult discoveries. The husband's family, mainly his father and sister [[Carling]], have ties to the occult or are Satanists in a traditional sense. The father owns a couple of color plates from [[Eadweard Muybridge]], the famous [[Photography|photographer]] and early cinematographer mentioned in multiple of Barron's stories. The story [[Hand of Glory (Story)]] also features a witch named Carling. In the story [[The One We Tell Bad Children]], Lady Carling is a character in a film.
