The Isaiah Coleridge Series of novels revolve around ex-mob enforcer turned private detective [[Isaiah Coleridge]]. The stories mostly take place in [[Upstate New York]]. The novels started out as mainly hard-boiled, noir, crime novels. While initially going for a grounded approach and seeming to be completely separate from Barron's horror stories, the second novel of the series introduced some occult elements and the third novel dialed up the cosmic horror elements and completely looped back into Barron's overarching universe, featuring recurring characters and all the ideas and symbolism that come with the territory.
