The Hanford Nuclear Reservation is [an existing, real-world facility](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanford_Site) in [[Washington State]] that's mentioned in a couple of Barron's stories. It is largely unknown (to me) what role in the Barronverse the facility plays exactly. In [[The Croning]], it is mentioned that Kyle [[Redfield]] died in an accident around the facility. In [[LD50]], the reservation is referred to as one of the big tourist attractions in the region. The reservation lies close to Tomahawk Park, the main locale of the story [[Tomahawk Park Survivors Raffle]]. A tiny bit of insight into the reservation is disclosed in the story: "They’d refined the plutonium for Fat Man and Little Boy on the reservation." (Swift to Chase, p. 257) The reservation is mentioned in [[Hallucigenia]] as well, where it is stated that the maximum security facility [[Station 3]] lies on the outskirts of Hanford. #Location #Croning #Swift #Imago
