Ardor is a story collected in [[Swift To Chase (Book)]]. Ardor takes place in 1975 and features a plane crash in the Yukon Delta in [[Alaska]]. The story features a film called Ardor. The [[Antiquity]] story [[The One We Tell Bad Children]] also features a film called Ardor, or in full: 'Ardor of the Damned'. The story's main character's name is Sam Cope. His grandfather was apparently a gangster. This could very well be [[Johnny Cope]], the protagonist of [[Hand of Glory (Story)]], seeing as they both live in Seattle and the time periods check out: "Granddad shot people for the Irish mob back in the Roaring Twenties" (Swift to Chase, ) Sam Cope is in a relationship with a man named Conway. The Gallows carnival's knife thrower from [[Screaming Elk, MT]] is called Conway as well, though I think this might be just a coincidence. [[Lake Crescent]] in [[Washington State]], the main location of the story [[The Redfield Girls]], is briefly mentioned in the story: "The frigid Alaskan winter wasn’t doing my mood any favors. Relocating to western Washington for a vacation didn’t sound half bad. I could take Conway to Lake Crescent for a romantic idyll, or hiking along Hurricane Ridge." (Swift to Chase, p. ) The recurring theme of the [[Ouroboros]], often a symbol used to signify [[Old Leech]], is mentioned as well: "I confront him and he kisses my ear and says I didn’t get eaten by the Ouroboros and shit out into an alternate universe."
