With the birth of [[Antiquity]], Barron introduced the concept of alter egos to his universe.
Certain recurring characters from his fiction seem to have Antiquity counterparts. In the story [[Uncoiling]] for example, the gang of [[Isaiah Coleridge]], his dog Minerva and friend Lionel Robard we know from the [[Isaiah Coleridge Series]] make an appearance as a mercenary group. Uncoiling is set in some dark fantasy version of the 1800's East Coast, so these can't possibly be the exact same people as the ones in the Coleridge Series, they do share the same core character traits and names, hence the concept of alter ego's.
[[Blackwood's Baby]]'s [[Luke Honey]] apparently also has an [Antiquity alter ego](https://twitter.com/LairdBarron/status/1459252364465090576), but I haven't encountered him in a story yet.
The [[Croatoan]] is another entity or character who might have an Antiquity alter ego, all the while even its regular ego was ambiguous enough as it is already.
[[Phil Wary]] has an Antiquity alter ego.
The name [[Carling]] appears in both Antiquity and non-Antiquity stories.
[[Julie Vellum]] has an Antiquity alter ego.
[[Jessica Mace]] and/or her mother has an Antiquity alter ego.
Smiling [[J]] has an Antiquity alter ego.
[[Howard Campbell]] has an Antiquity alter ego.
[[Elmer]] and his wife Ferris might have Antiquity alter egos.
[[Delia]] has an Antiquity alter ego.
